DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM
The technological system of the ammonium sulfate installation includes a centrifuge of ø 1250 (made by Industrial Plant) separating crystals of the ammonium sulfate from the liquid. Work conditions of the centrifuge: a sulfuric acid solution of the concentration of 3-25%, temperature up to ca. 55°C. A decision to secure the centrifuge was taken.

DESCRIPTION OF THE REPAIR
Internal surfaces of the centrifuge were sanded, and then degreased and secured with Chester Cleaner several times. Then there was applied a layer of Chester Metal Ceramic F of the thickness of ca. 1.5 mm.

ACHIEVED EFFECTS
The applications allowed us obtain a chemo-resistant security for the centrifuge, a prolongation of the renovation cycle, and a postponement of the deadline for purchasing a new centrifuge.
