DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM
A OS-200 pump pumps water in a close system for a wet extinguishing of coke. The water contains various chemical compounds washed out from the coke, including among others: phenol, cyanides, sulfates, ammonium, as well as small grains of fly-ash. It was decided to secure the new pump.

DESCRIPTION OF THE REPAIR
The dismantled elements of the OS-200 pump were sanded, then degreased and secured with Chester Cleaner. A layer of Chester Metal Ceramic F of the thickness of ca. 1 mm was applied on internal surfaces of the pump body of the stator and rotor prepared in such a way.

ACHIEVED EFFECTS
The pump was secured to become chemo-resistant, the phenomena of corrosion and cavitation were postponed, and there was prolonged the life cycle of the pump by min. one renovation cycle with the preservation of the pump's parameters (a purchase of one pump was saved).
