DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM
Short run castings appear during the process of casting the block of the engine for Polonez 1600 car in the place of the location of pins fastening the head, which make it impossible to drill and thread openings for the pins (photo No. 1). Such castings have been scrapped and re-cast so far. It was decided to regenerate the blocks with Chester Molecular materials in July this year.

DESCRIPTION OF THE REPAIR
The place of the short run casting was defattened with Chester Cleaner. After the defattening agent evaporated, Chester Metal Super was placed (photo No. 2).

ACHIEVED EFFECTS
The performed regeneration prevented the scrapping of engine blocks. After tests of the drilling and threading of openings for the pins of the head, the technology of the repair with materials of Chester Molecular obtained a complete approval.
